About Your Hostess

Karen is Canadian and moved to Roatan, Honduras in 1996.

She now makes her home on the mainland. Karen has been working as a general contractor and has overseen the construction and development of hotels and private residences in Honduras.

Casa Cangrejal has been designed and built by Karen. She has always wanted her own Bed and Breakfast so that she could share her natural talents for fine hospitality and demonstrate her exceptional culinary skills.

Karen is very well known in the local area for interior design and project management, and is frequently called upon to assist in building their new homes, or renovating their exsisting home.

Karen is incredibly resourceful, has an excellent relationship with the local people and is a full time resident of Honduras.
